Good olive oil should have nothing to hide, and neither should we. Below are the questions we are asked most often, answered plainly. If yours is not here, we would be glad to hear from you on our contact page.
Where does your olive oil come from?
Every bottle of Olive Father is drawn from a single family estate in Italy, with groves in Calabria and Tuscany. We do not pool oil from many farms or countries the way most supermarket brands do. When you taste our oil, you are tasting one place — a philosophy we explain in full on our single-source page.
What does “single source” actually mean?
It means the oil in the bottle comes from one estate, not a blend of anonymous suppliers. This matters because it makes the oil traceable, protects its distinctive character, and keeps us accountable for every step from grove to bottle. A blended oil averages everything into anonymity. A single-source oil has a fingerprint.
Is the oil organic or certified?
The estate farms with genuine care for the land and the health of its groves. Where specific certifications apply, we state them plainly on the relevant product and never imply more than is true. If certification status is important to your purchase — for a shop, a restaurant, or your own kitchen — please ask us directly and we will give you an honest, current answer rather than a marketing one.
How fresh is the oil, and how long does it keep?
Freshness is everything with olive oil. Ours is harvested and milled quickly to capture the vivid, peppery character of a young oil. As a general guide, extra virgin olive oil is at its best within around an eighteen-month window from harvest, and better still the sooner it is used. Store it away from heat and light, keep the cap closed, and use it freely — an oil this good is meant to be poured, not hoarded.
Can I buy it online?
Online ordering is coming soon. This is the oil’s first arrival in the United States, and we are building the shop with the same care we give the oil. To be among the first to buy — and to hear when it goes live — register your interest through our contact page.
Do you supply to shops and restaurants?
Yes. We work with specialty grocers, restaurants, and independent shops who value provenance and flavour. Formats, availability, and trade pricing are set out on our wholesale page.
